Spain's Carlos Alcaraz powered into the Olympic singles final with a brutal 6-1, 6-1 thrashing of overwhelmed Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime at Roland-Garros on Friday.
The 21-year-old second seed is bidding to add Olympic gold to the French Open and Wimbledon titles he won recently and was in devastating form on Court Philippe Chatrier.
From the moment Auger-Aliassime double-faulted to hand over an early service break, it was one-way traffic. A ruthless Alcaraz wrapped up the victory in a little more than an hour.
Alcaraz will face top seed Novak Djokovic in Sunday's gold-medal match.
Alcaraz is envisaging an Olympic tattoo if he wins the gold medal in Paris, extending the Spaniard's tradition of marking his skin with his major victories.
The world number 3 has already three tattoos in memory of his first three Grand Slams, the U.S. Open, Wimbledon and the French Open, after which he put a large Eiffel tower above his left ankle.
"If I win on Sunday we will see, but most likely yes, but there is one step left, there is a match that is a great mountain," the 21-year-old said on Friday.
