For the first time in 16 years, the United States is sending a full team of nine artistic swimming athletes to the Olympic Games, having qualified for both the duet and team competitions at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The nine athletes selected to head to Paris were:
- Anita Alvarez (Buffalo, New York)
- Daniella Ramirez (Miami, Florida)
- Megumi Field (Cerritos, California)
- Jaime Czarkowski (Calgary, Alberta)
- Jacklyn Luu (Milpitas, California)
- Audrey Kwon (Seattle, Washington)
- Keana Hunter (Seattle, Washington)
- Ruby Remati (Andover, Massachusetts)
- Calista Liu (Fullerton, California) **Alternate
Alvarez, 27, is the senior member of the young group who's average age is less than 21. Alvarez is also the only member of the team with prior Olympic experience, having competed in the duet competition at both the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.
"Our confidence is level. Which I feel is a great place to be," Alvarez said in a statement of the team's Paris outlook. "Although every time we get the opportunity to compete, we gain a new sense of confidence in ourselves and what we plan to show in Paris, it also always teaches us simultaneously that there’s still tons of room to grow.”
Field and Czarkowski will represent the U.S. in both the duet and team competitions.
