When to watch blind soccer at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games
Blind soccer events will take place between Friday, August 30 and Saturday, September 7 in Paris. Eight men’s teams will compete for a spot on the podium in this adaptation of soccer for athletes with visual impairment.
Participants at the Paralympic Games have been classified as B1 athletes by the International Blind Sports Federation. This classification applies to athletes with severe visual impairment. Goalies are the only players for each team with no visual impairment.
The game is played with a special soccer ball which has several rattles installed inside its casing so it emits sound as it’s dribbled down the field.
Venue
Matches for the blind soccer competition will be played in the stadium erected near the foot of the Eiffel Tower on the Champ-de-Mars.
