On the final card

Saturday marks the end of the boxing competition of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The following finals are set to take place at Roland Garros stadium starting at 3:30 p.m. ET, but all times are subject to change:

Women's featherweight 57kg Gold Medal Match - 3:30 p.m. ET

Lin Yu-ting (TPE) vs. Kamil Szeremeta (POL)

The 28-year-old Lin comes in as the No. 1 seed at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with two world championship titles to her name. She certainly has more experience than the 20-year-old Szeremeta, who's fighting in her country's first Olympic boxing final since Pawel Skrzecz in 1980.

Skrzecz lost his bout, but still set a precedent for his country's boxers. Will his compatriot finally secure boxing gold nearly half a century later?

Men's featherweight 57kg Gold Medal Match - 3:47 p.m. ET

Munarbek Seiitbek Uulu (KGZ) vs. Abdumalik Khalokov (UZB)

The top-seeded Khalokov looks to add to Uzbekistan's considerable gold medal haul at the 2024 Paris Olympics, potentially raising the total to four. But Kyrgyzstan's  Uulu has been dominant these Games, defeating one of Team USA's medal favorites Jahmal Harvey 5-0 in the quarterfinals before routing Bulgaria's second-seeded Javier Ibanez in the semis.

Khalokov may be the feather favorite, but don't count out Uulu — especially considering the number of upsets the sport has seen in Paris.

Women's middleweight 75kg Gold Medal Match - 4:34 p.m. ET

Li Quan (CHN) vs. Atheyna Bylon (PAN)

In case there wasn't already enough at stake in Saturday's boxing finals, the women's middleweight final features two seeded opponents who would rewrite history by claiming gold.

China's No. 1 seed Li Qian seeks gold to what we'll refer to as a "podium trifecta" following Rio 2016 bronze and Tokyo 2020 silver. Seventh-seeded Bylon, a former cop who's already guaranteed to become Panama's first-ever female medalist, could become Panama's first-ever female gold medalist.

Men's super heavyweight 92+kg Gold Medal Match - 4:51 p.m. ET

Bakhodir Jalolov (UZB) vs. Ghadfa Drissi El Aissaoui (ESP)

Arguably the marquee boxing match of the 2024 Paris Olympics, fourth-seeded Uzbek southpaw Jalolov could win his country's fifth (!) gold medal in the sport at these Games (contingent upon Khalokov's results earlier in the evening). The Tokyo 2020 gold medalist also arrived in Paris with a record of 14 consecutive wins by knockout — but has yet to score a single KO against his three opponents in France. (That said his opponents have yet to score a single point against him; he enters this final 15-0.)

Jalolov's Spanish opponent, Ghadfa, won a bronze at the Tashkent World Championships in 2023. But the Spaniard faces an uphill challenge against the Uzbek titan.

If Ghadfa were to win this bout, it would prove a huge victory for the underdog — and his home country.
