Dearica Hamby has been named to the U.S. women's 3x3 basketball team for the Paris Olympics. She'll serve as an injury replacement for her Los Angeles Sparks teammate Cameron Brink, who recently tore her ACL and is out for the rest of the season.

Hamby will join Hailey Van Lith, Cierra Burdick and Rhyne Howard on the Olympic roster. Howard, who plays for the WNBA's Atlanta Dream, is out indefinitely with an ankle injury but could potentially return in time for Paris.

Last November at the 3x3 AmeriCup, Hamby made her debut with the 3x3 national team. She helped Team USA win gold and was named tournament MVP. More recently, she participated in a USA Basketball training camp that was held in Springfield, Massachusetts, in April. After that camp, she played in a FIBA tournament alongside other Olympic team hopefuls.

Hamby, 30, is in the midst of her 10th season in the WNBA and second season with the Sparks. She's currently averaging 17.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, both of which would be career highs if she continues that pace.

The U.S. women head to Paris as the reigning Olympic champions. Three years ago at the Tokyo Games, where 3x3 basketball made its Olympic debut, the quartet of Stefanie Dolson, Allisha Gray, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young lost only one game en route to winning gold. The U.S. will be favored for gold once again in Paris.

USA Basketball has announced all of its rosters for the Paris Olympics, including the men's 3x3 team and both 5-on-5 teams.
