What to know about cycling at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Cycling at the Olympics is split into five distinct disciplines: road cycling, track cycling, BMX freestyle, BMX racing and mountain biking. Each one requires a unique skillset, meaning that cycling viewers will be treated to a wide variety of events throughout the Olympic Games. The road cycling events, which will be taking place on the heels of the Tour de France, will include sections that take riders through the heart of Paris.
The U.S. women could leave Paris with some serious hardware, as Team USA's cycling roster includes reigning world champions Chloe Dygert (time trial), Jennifer Valente (omnium), Hannah Roberts (BMX freestyle) and Alise Willoughby (BMX racing).
