Kate Douglass got her first taste of Olympic action in 2021, when she went to Tokyo and returned home with a bronze medal. Since then, she has become one of the best swimmers in the world, excelling at the University of Virginia, a modern powerhouse of collegiate swimming.

In the 2023 season alone, Douglass helped lead UVA to its third straight national championship by winning three individual events and four relays. She also set national records in all three of her individual races. She'll be hoping Paris has similar success in store.
