When does table tennis start and end at the 2024 Paris Olympics?
Table tennis will start on Saturday, July 27 and conclude on Saturday, August 10. There will be live coverage of all five table tennis events on the following dates:
- Women's doubles: Monday, August 5 to Saturday, August 10
- Men's doubles: Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9
- Men's and women's individual: Saturday, July 27 to Sunday, August 4
- Mixed doubles: Saturday, July 27 to Tuesday, July 30

What to know about table tennis at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Fans of the Olympic Games’ table tennis tacticians will have the opportunity to consume multiple days of high-intensity competition starting with the first men’s and women’s singles preliminary matches on Saturday, July 27. Fifteen days of table tennis competition will come to a close on Saturday, August 10 with the women’s team final.
There will be five table tennis events at the 2024 Paris Olympics: individual (women's/men's) and teams (women's/men's/mixed doubles).
Since the debut of table tennis at the Olympics in 1988, China has dominated the sport, winning 32 of 37 gold medals from 1988 to 2020. China will look to add to its impressive medal collection this year. Reigning Olympic gold medal singles champions Ma Long and Meng Chen, both of China, look to start their campaign to defend their titles. China will be determined in taking back the mixed doubles title after Japan's Jun Mizutani and Mima Ito took home the gold in Tokyo.
South Paris Arena No. 4, part of the Paris Expo complex, will serve as the home of Olympic table tennis in 2024. Originally built in 1923 for the Paris Trade Fair, the complex has been renovated over the years to modernize the facilities for the Olympic Games and the future.
