Mikaela Shiffrin broke Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark all-time World Cup wins record in Are, Sweden by winning her 87th World Cup race in her signature event of slalom. Shiffrin set the all-time mark, better than any man or woman in World Cup history, in the place where she won her very first World Cup race back in 2012.
Shiffrin closed out the 2022-23 World Cup season at the finals in Soldeu, Andorra where she racked up one more win in the giant slalom and collected her fifth overall crystal globe. Shiffrin also added a pair of discipline titles to her crystal globe haul, winning her seventh in slalom and second in giant slalom.
