Update: Surfing semifinals, finals are DELAYED for Aug. 5, potential start at 4:30 p.m. ET

UPDATE (August 5, 3:25 p.m. ET) -- The men's and women's Olympic surfing finals are DELAYED, with a potential start time now scheduled for Monday, Aug. 5., at 4:30 p.m. Assuming the competition is on, the semifinals will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET and be followed immediately by the medal finals.

When did women's Round 3 take place?

After weather delays postponed the event for two days, the third round of the women's competition just wrapped up along with the men's and women's quarterfinals, all taking place on Thursday, Aug. 1.

How will the finals work?

The fourth and final day of competition will include a bracket-style progression, from the semifinals to the medal finals for both the men's and women's event.
