Day 5 of Olympic tennis tousled the women's draw to the final four, and the men's quarterfinal crew is set.

Here's the details of the clay clashes, smashes and more from Day 5.

Novak Djokovic dominates to quarterfinals

The men's No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic kicked off match play for the day on the show court, blasting baseline winners and kicking Germany's Dominik Koepfer out of the Games in dominate fashion, 7-5, 6-3. The Paris Games marks Djokovic's fourth appearance at the Olympics quaterfinals in his five appearance at the Games. The only Games he failed to reach a quarterfinal was at Rio in 2016, when the Serbian crashed out after a first round loss from eventual silver medallist Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina. l

The 'Nadal-caraz' dream comes to an end after quarterfinal loss

The ultimate doubles dream team’s journey has come to end. The superstar Spanish doubles team of Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, known fondly by fans as "Nadal-caraz," fell to the fourth seeded doubles team of Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek, 6-2, 6-4.

In the final point, Krajicek blasted a serve deep in the corner that left many wondering if it landed in the service lines. As the crowd held their collective breaths, the chair umpire jumped up, walked to where the ball landed, and with the quick "in" motion of her hand, the 'Nadal-Caraz' dream was crushed, and Nadal's Olympic career came to a final, losing close.
