A total of 166 athletes will compete in speed skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics. A nation may enter a maximum of nine athletes per gender, provided that nation has won the maximum amount of Olympic quota spots during international competition in the lead-up to the Games.
The United States speed staking team for the 2022 Winter Olympics was selected at the U.S. Olympic Speed Skating Trials, January 5-9 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
