When does sport climbing start and end at the 2024 Paris Olympics?
Sport climbing will start on Monday, August 5 and conclude on Saturday, August 10. There will be live coverage of all four sport climbing events on the following dates:

What to know about sport climbing at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Sport climbing returns in Paris for its second Olympic appearance. This time the competition has been split into two separate medal events: a standalone event for speed climbing, plus a combined event that features both bouldering and lead climbing.
Look for world records to be under attack in speed climbing. Since setting the women's record three years ago in Tokyo, Poland's Aleksandra Mirosław has broken her own record seven times and will be favored for gold in Paris. For the men, Indonesia's Veddriq Leonardo has looked like the man to beat, but American Sam Watson broke Leonardo's record in April — and then proceeded to break the record again later that day — to announce his arrival as a legitimate medal contender.
For the bouldering and lead combined events, Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Janja Garnbret of Slovenia remains the head of the women's class, but don't count out a pair of Americans from Boulder, Colorado. Natalia Grossman and Brooke Raboutou have plenty of accolades to show that they have what it takes to compete for medals. Another U.S. team member, Colin Duffy, took silver in the men's combined event at the 2023 World Championships.
