In Paris, he'll likely be competing against Karsten Warholm, who won the title over Benjamin with a world-record time in Tokyo.

"Means nothing," Benjamin said of his world-leading performance at Diamond League. "I didn't do it at worlds, and I didn't do it at the Olympics. It's the Diamond League final. But no one is ever going to remember the Diamond League champion. Everyone is going to remember the Olympic champion.”
