Which athletes are returning to represent the U.S. in Olympic shooting in Paris?

Three-time gold medalist Vincent Hancock will play at his fifth Olympic Games this summer, as he tries to join five legends who won the same individual Olympic event four times (skeet). Mary Tucker, 22, also makes her return to her second Olympics and will look to win her first gold medal in the rifle events. Other Olympic shooting athletes making their return to the Games for the U.S. are Alexis Lagan, Sagen Maddalena, Austen Smith, Derrick Mein and Keith Sanderson

For the shotgun events at the 2024 Games, the following athletes will represent the U.S. Olympic team:

  • Vincent Hancock (men's skeet, mixed skeet)
  • Conner Prince (men's skeet, mixed skeet)

  • Dania Vizzi (women's skeet, mixed skeet)

Who is not competing for the U.S. shooting Olympic team in Paris?

Compared to its 2020 Olympic roster, 10 players will not be returning to the 2024 Games. The most notable absences are those of gold medalist Amber English, silver medalist Kayle Browning and Ali Weisz

Phillip Jungman, Lucas Kozeniesky, and Nick Mowrer were also on the 2020 Olympic roster, but now will serve as alternatives for the 2024 Olympics.

Other athletes who will not return for the Paris Games are bronze medalist Madelynn Bernau, Sandra Uptagrafft and James Hall.
