After COVID-19 forced her to withdraw from her Olympic bid in Tokyo just days before the competition began, Coco Gauff is back and ready for action.

Here's how the 20-year-old superstar is preparing for her Olympic debut.

As of 2023, Coco Gauff is coached by broadcaster and former professional tennis player Brad Gilbert. 

Gilbert ranked as high as No. 4 in 1990 during his professional career, and even went on to earn a bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.

In March, Coco Gauff became the first American tennis player to mathematically qualify for the Paris Olympics.

On top of her singles competition, Gauff will pair up with Jessica Pegula for the doubles tournament.

Coco Gauff was a semifinalist at the 2024 Australian Open in January, falling to eventual champion Aryna Sabalenka. She did not compete in the doubles tournament.

In the singles tournament, Coco Gauff was defeated by eventual champion Iga Swiatek in the semifinals. However, Gauff and her partner Katerina Siniakova won the doubles title, Gauff's first in a Grand Slam competition.
