Adam Coon may have fell short of qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics, but at least one NFL team took notice of his abilities on the wrestling mat.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Coon agreed to terms on a contract with the Tennessee Titans on Friday. Coon hasn't played football since 2013, but will reportedly get a shot to play on the Titans' offensive line.
Coon fell to Ukraine’s Mykola Kuchmii by a score of 6-3 in the quarterfinals of the World Olympic Qualifier in May. He needed to advance to the finals in order to earn a trip to the Olympics in July.
But now, instead of competing for a gold medal this summer, he'll be competing to earn a roster spot on an NFL team.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Coon certainly won't look out of place on the gridiron.
