Two-time para cycling gold medalist Oksana Masters will line up for the women's H4-5 individual time trial to kick off her seventh Paralympic Games but is racing for so much more than a medal. 

Masters, who was born in Ukraine, donated a portion of her prize money from the 2022 Beijing Paralympics (where she competed in para cross-country skiing and para biathlon) to Global Giving's "No Child Forgotten" project to aid children whose lives have been affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. If she wins a medal in the H4-5 individual time trial, she said she plans to donate a portion of her prize money once again. 

Other medal contenders racing for the United States will be Samantha Bosco (women's C4 time trial), Aaron Keith (men's C1 time trial) and Ryan Pinney (men’s H3 time trial). 

After missing out on a medal in the 200m individual medley SM8, Jessica Long will be back in the pool for the women’s 400m freestyle S8 at 12:24 p.m. ET. 

Long is the second most decorated U.S. Paralympian with 29 medals, 16 of which are gold. 

The U.S. para track and field athletes have had great success so far in Paris with two-time long jump T64 world silver medalist Derek Loccident and three-time Paralympian Jarryd Wallace looking to add to the medal tally in the men's long jump T64, taking place at 2:30 p.m. ET.
