In this episode of "The Podium," an NBC Olympic and Paralympic podcast, 13-time Paralympic medalist Chris Waddell sits down with Tokyo Paralympic champion Ian Seidenfeld.

Seidenfeld shares his journey in the world of table tennis and the unique family legacy he continues. As the son of a Paralympic champion, Ian talks about the challenges and triumphs of following in his father’s footsteps, and how the sport has shaped both their lives.

"Obviously we love each other a lot," Seidenfeld. "And, I can feel that in the way he coaches me and ... there's a pretty unquestionable trust that we have and honesty that we can have because of that ... He'll give me an honest assessment, and I trust what he thinks a lot of the time. You realize after COVID, how special it is to spend that time with your family, too. Not everyone gets to spend that time for the last 15 years that we have together. So I really cherish that as well. I know it's not going to last forever. He's getting older, I'm getting older, and we all get into different places in our lives. So I want to enjoy it as much as possible."
