The United States won six medals at the 2025 ISU Speed Skating Championships held in Hamar, Norway — more than any other country besides the longtime powerhouse Netherlands.

Jordan Stolz led the way with three individual medals, though none were gold despite sweeping the same three events (500m, 1000m, 1500m) at the last two world championships. While Stolz has been dominant recently — he won his first 14 races of the 2024-25 World Cup season — he’s had to contend with illness, fatigue from overtraining, and the emergence of new rivals in recent months.

The lone gold medal for the U.S. came in the men’s team pursuit, as Casey Dawson, Emery Lehman and Ethan Cepuran combined to win the nation’s first world title in this event since 2011. That trio has held the world record since January 2024.
