  • On Sunday, February 8, NBC’s coverage of Super Bowl LX and the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games will be available in 4K HDR all day.
  • NBC’s 4K HDR coverage on Feb. 8 of the Super Bowl and Olympics will be available on Comcast, Cox, DirecTV/DirecTV Stream, Dish, Sling (in select markets), Optimum, Spectrum, Verizon, YouTube TV and other distributors. Contact your provider for details.

Peacock

  • NBC Olympics coverage will stream live on Peacock in 4K HDR with Atmos - this will include the live Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, and Daytime and Primetime coverage throughout the Winter Games.
  • “Gold Zone,” a daily whip-around show featuring the most exciting Olympic moments across sports as they’re happening, will stream on Peacock in 1080p HDR.
  • 1080p HDR live versions of Team USA’s Hockey games will be available on Peacock (subject to programming changes). Look for the HDR indicator.

NBC NextGen TV**

  • NBC coverage of the Olympics will be available over the air in 1080p Dolby Vision and Atmos through the local NBC station’s NextGen TV broadcasts in select cities.

Glossary of terms

High Dynamic Range (HDR): produces a wider contrast, brilliant highlights and a richer range of color.

Dolby Vision: enhances HDR content even further using dynamic metadata to automatically optimize how it is displayed your screen, without the need to adjust the picture settings on your TV.

Dolby Atmos: provides a more immersive audio experience by incorporating height elements in addition to traditional 5.1 surround sound.

1080p: provides smoother motion and better detail than HD.

4K: provides higher resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) than HD (1920 x 1080).
